Answer:
told from the point of view of Ben Benally, Abel's roommate in the apartment in Los Angeles. It is the day after Abel—badly beaten by unknown assailants and left in a ditch on the beach—has left Los Angeles to return to Walatowa. Ben remembers going up on a hill in the city with many Indians the night before. The group, which included Tosamah and Cristobal Cruz, started playing songs and dancing while Abel and Ben went off by themselves. Abel and Ben made a pact to meet sometime in the future, just the two of them and two horses among the hills, and to sing the song called "House Made of Dawn."
Ben gradually reveals the events of the prior weeks. We learn that Abel had been drinking far too much and finally quit working at the factory to spend all his time at bars. One evening, over a poker game at Tosamah's, Abel became so enraged with Tosamah that he tried to hit him. Abel was too drunk, however, and merely stumbled, provoking laughs from the others in the room.
From that point on, Abel descended further into drunkenness and poverty until he had a fight with Ben and left the apartment. Abel and Ben had been mugged by a corrupt local cop earlier that week, and Ben implies that Abel was perhaps intending some sort of revenge when he left the apartment. Regardless of whether or not Ben's guess is correct, Abel returns to the apartment three days later, crashing to the floor of the stairwell, badly beaten and seemingly close to death

The answer is D. Spurred consideration and discussion, exchanges that many stylist chose to continue by hanging prints from the show in their salons.

Although you didn't present the entire paragraph, we can come up with this answer because:
The sentence presented in the question above shows that elements that were ignored in the past began to become an issue of discussion after Kennedy's work.Option D shows how this work stimulated several discussions and considerations among the stylists. These discussions and considerations involved subjects that were not considered relevant and sought to establish their importance in fashion shows and other artistic representations. In other words, we can state that the sentence presented in the question and option D are in harmony, as they point to the same topic.

Answer:
Neither of us is going to the store.
Explanation:
By correcting the error in the agreement Neither of us is going to the store.
What is an agreement?Agreement occurs when a word changes form depending on the other words to which it relates. It is an instance of inflexion and usually involves making the value of some grammatical category agree between varied words or parts of the sentence.
For example, in Standard English, one may say I am or he is, but not "I am" or "he am". This is because English grammar requires that the verb and its subject agree in person. The pronouns I and he are first and third person respectively, as are the verb forms am and are. The verb form must be selected so that it has the same person as the subject in contrast to the notional agreement, which is based on meaning.
The agreement generally involves matching the value of some grammatical category between different constituents of a sentence.

What is the HARDEST part of writing?
Where/When do you do the BEST writing? Why?
What STEPS do you take writing something good?
How could you HELP a struggling writer?
2+ paragraphs
Answer:
For me, the hardest part of writing is finding the words to match what I am thinking. Often times I find myself staring at a blank page trying to display my goal in what I am writing while still making it my own. Usually, I write the best when I am passionate about the topic of my work. This helps me feel good about what I am writing, find the words a bit easier, and write more because I am knowledgeable about said topic.
A few of the steps I take to writing something good are reviewing what I know about what I am writing about, making a rough draft and going over it, and taking my time to figure out what I can improve on as I go along. As far as helping a struggling writer, I could find out what is blocking them when they are writing. If they are finding it difficult to set up their paragraphs then I would guide them through that. If they are struggling with something like not being able to relate to what they are writing or not connecting to it then I would suggest they do more research and/or think about little things in their life that could connect to said topic.
Hope this helps hun!

What is informative speeches?Usually, talking in an instructive way entails bringing up other people, objects, processes, places, or other people. It can be difficult to inform a crowd on one of these subjects without also attempting to persuade them.
But not every informative speech instructs an audience in the same way. The four types of instructive speeches are definition talks, demonstration talks, explanation talks, and description talks.
There are three categories under which informative speeches might be placed. These talks serve as examples, descriptions, and definitions. Each of the three types still has a separate intended purpose, but they are all supposed to inform.
Thus, option A is correct.

Read the poem "Bacchus's Regret" by Hunter Doyle and answer the question. [1] King Midas returned my beloved teacher to me, so I rewarded him with a wish—whatever he wanted would be. Midas cried, "Give my fingers a golden touch! Then, I shall have a gilded kingdom and such." [5] I tried to make him see the err of his choice, but he would not heed the caution in my voice. I pleaded with Midas, "Be careful what you choose, for you're only thinking of what you'll gain—not what you'll lose." [9] His thirst for wealth became no match for his appetite; after all, a gold apple is not something one can bite. His daughter wept for her poor starving dad, so he wiped her tears and told her not to be sad. [13] Into a golden statue Midas's daughter became, and he and his greedy wish were ultimately to blame. Yet, maybe if I had put up more of a fight and a fret, then I wouldn't have to live with all this regret. Select the line that best supports the theme greed can prompt bad decisions.
Answer:
[9] His thirst for wealth became no match for his appetite; after all, a gold apple is not something one can bite. His daughter wept for her poor starving dad, so he wiped her tears and told her not to be sad
Explanation:
Line 9 is the line that best supports the theme greed can prompt bad decisions based on the poem Bacchus's Regret by Hunter Doyle.
This is because, King Midas was so overcome by greed and lust of power and money that he did not consider what he stood to lose, only what he stood to gain.
He chose to have a golden touch and didn't consider that he could not eat a golden apple and eventually turned his daughter to a golden statue after he unknowingly touched her.

Douglass makes a convincing argument due to his well-written, logical account. He uses sophisticated vocabulary along with specific, verifiable names and geographic locations. He writes fairly and gives credit where it is due in order to avoid accusations of unjust bias.
PATHOS
Douglass describes the cruel beatings slaves received in vivid detail. His eloquent language inspires pity in the reader. His accounts are most powerful when he describes witnessing the abuse of others as a terrified child. He writes, "No words, no tears, no prayers, from his gory victim, seemed to move his iron heart from its bloody purpose...I was quite a child, but I remember it. I shall never forget it whilst I remember anything."
ETHOS
Douglass's narrative begins with a preface by well-known abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison and a letter from abolitionist Wendell Phillips. These respected men act as witnesses, testifying to Douglass's good character. Douglass also builds his credibility by refusing to believe in superstitions and depicting himself as a hard-working, intelligent, church-going Christian

Explanation:
"We Wear the Mask" is a social poem by African-American author Paul Laurence Dunbar. The African American community in the Post-Civil War United States was a constant target for racism and segregation. As we can see, the speaker of the poem talks of a mask that that community had to wear. They pretended to be content and happy; they hid their suffering. That mask, which had been imposed at first, became their weapon to remain strong. They would not succumb to racism; they would not cry in the face of segregation. They were going to fight it.

Readers know the answer to #5 (on pages 1-4) because of Fitzgerald's use of several literary elements EXCEPT: * inner thoughts syntax diction-level descriptive settings
Hello. You did not change the text and the word to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for me to answer your question exactly.
However, when it comes to a text, the meaning of words and even answers to possible questions, are best evaluated with the diction synthesis and the descriptive settings. This is because these two factors allow a better visualization of the text and a better interpretation of the author's objectives with the written text.
Therefore, we can consider internal thoughts, as the literary element that is not efficient in providing answers to the reader.
