Read this excerpt from Anne Frank Remembered. In a fury, he flung my identification card at my head and approached me almost in a bent-over position, as though bent with rage. "Aren't you ashamed that you are helping Jewish garbage?" he snarled at me. He then began to curse me, shouting terrible words and saying that I was a traitor, that I would get a terrible punishment. He kept on cursing uncontrollably. I remained standing as tall as I could, not reacting at all to his words. The more he shouted, the more nervous he became. He began to pace from wall to wall. Suddenly, he spun on his heel and said, "What shall I do with you?" Why does Miep react in this way?

She is shocked by his insults.
She has sympathy for the fellow Austrian.
She plans to confess her crimes.
Answer:
She wants to gain control of the situation.
Explanation:
In the text above we can see that the officer is totally out of control, shouting and making a scandal in front of Miep, who remains calm and focused, without reacting to all the shouting that the officer is emitting. Miep does this to keep control of the situation in her hands and to stand in favor of her actions, showing courage and showing that she doesn’t tackle anything, more than that, when taking control of the situation Miep shows that she is correct and that there is no need for despair and scandals when you are correct.
It should be noted that Miep reacted the way that she did because wants to gain control of the situation.
From the information given, it can be seen that the officer was shouting and making a scandal in front of Miep. Despite this, she remained calm and focused, without reacting to all the shouting that the officer is emitting.
This simply means that Miep wanted to keep control of the situation in her hands and to stand in favor of her actions. Shouting back at the officer would have resulted in further conflict.

How can we address the health and wellbeing of our veterans, military, and their families?
By put your name here
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In order to address the health and wellbeing of our veterans, military, and their families, we need to be aware that while veterans and active military might only be one person in a family, the whole family is affected. We need to recognize that health and wellbeing is not just medical care. We need to provide mental health services and access to community programs such as food pantries and housing assistance.
If we create clinics where active duty military, families, and veterans can get inexpensive, quality healthcare we would be able to prevent most common health issues from affecting the veterans and their families. Also, we would need to make mental health services available. We could organize volunteers to visit individual veterans who do not have any family around them to make sure they are receiving medical care and have transportation to complete errands such as grocery shopping or prescription pick up.
By creating programs to assist with basic needs such as groceries and housing, we help veterans, military, and their families have stability, which promotes good physical health and mental health. Job programs to help the family members of active duty military and veterans who are seeking employment would aid in developing job skills and connect them with employers. Offering community programs for the children of active duty military or veterans at either a reduced fee or no fee allows children to create relationships with other children and offers opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach, such as organized youth sports programs.
In conclusion, if we first identify the basic needs of our veterans, military and their families we can address their wellbeing and promote health and stability. I believe this is how we can address the health and well being of our veterans, military, and their families.
Chapters 13-16 of Frankenstein are told from whose point-of-view?
A Elizabeth
B. Walton's
C. The monster's
D. Victor's
Answer:
C. The monster's.
Explanation:
Mary Shelley's gothic novel "Frankenstein" revolves around the story of a young scientist Victor Frankenstein and his aspiration of furthering his scientific abilities. And through these efforts, he created a monster from the corpses of humans, but then felt repulsed by it and left it alone, leading to a whole lot of disastrous encounters with the monster, culminating in the devastation of his whole family.
Chapters 13 to 16 tells the story of the monster's 'journeys' and encounters with other humans during his quest to find his creator, Victor Frankenstein. The whole sections of these chapters are told from the monster's perspective, with the use of the first-person narrative voice "I".
Thus, the correct answer is option C.
In the Gettysburg Address, Abraham Lincoln explains why the dead soldiers will be remembered. Which of the following paragraphs best
addresses this idea?
A. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the
proposition that all men are created equal.
B. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We
are met on a great battle field of that war. We come to dedicate a portion of it, as a final resting place for those who died here, that the
nation might live. This we may, in all propriety do.
C. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate - we can not consecrate - we can not hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead,
who struggled here, have hallowed it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we
say here, while it can never forget what they did here.
D. It is rather for us, the living, we here be dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that, from these honored dead we take
increased devotion to that cause for which they here, gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve these dead shall
not have died in vain; that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people,
shall not perish from the earth.
Ex.1 Answer the questions: 1. Is broadband quicker than an ordinary Internet connection? 2. How do you pay for a broadband connection? 3. What are the limits of wireless technology? 4. Has 3G technology been completely developed yet? 5. What will you be able to do with 3G technology on your mobile? 6. What is Wi-Fi? 7. How far can Wi-Fi signals travel?
Answer and Explanation:
1. Broadband is, in fact, faster than a regular internet connection. That's because broadband was designed to be a high speed connection, so it is competitive over common and most popular connections. The speed of broadband is the main reason why it is the most desired internet connection and also the most expensive in relation to the others.
2. In order to pay for a broadband connection, the user must contact a broadband internet provider. Once this contact is established, payment methods will be negotiated.
3. As wireless technology does not have wires, it presents a limitation that can be very uncomfortable for users, which is the presentation of interference with other connections present in the same area. This interference can impair the use of this technology because it can literally drop the signal and prevent the user from using the connection.
4. 3G technology has already been fully developed and is currently out of date, as more efficient technologies such as 4G and even 6G present a more efficient and satisfactory connection.
5. With 3G technology it allows the user to reply and view some text messages for a limited time. Viewing images, videos, social networks and any other media is difficult with this type of technology, which makes its use a major disadvantage.
6. Wi-Fi is a wireless communication technology that allows multiple devices to access the internet at the same time and can enjoy unlimited internet at any time, when their access to that network is allowed.
7. when it comes to home networks, it is common for Wi-Fi to be able to reach between 46 - 92 meters. This depends on the type of network, the capacity of the router and the nature of the environment that may be internal or external.
