What is the difference between empty calories and regular calories? Use in your own words.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

So there are Empty Calories and Nutritional Calories - or regular calories. Empty calories basically are full of calories but don't really provide any help toward your body. They give you sugars and stuff your body doesn't really need and too much can bring damage to your body... basically junk food. Empty Calories are also usually burnt faster and more easily so your body will want to eat more.

Nutritional Calories are the opposite. You would be getting more nutrients (good stuff) and fewer calories. They burn wayyy slower and so you will feel full for longer and usually contain vitamins and fiber. These are usually used to eat better and lose weight(or maintain weight).

The term PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. It is a managed-care health insurance plan. Its healthcare providers are referred to as preferred providers. They have higher co-pays, deductibles, and insurance premiums as a result.

Members of a PPO can choose to see a physician outside the plan, but they will usually pay a higher cost for out-of-network care.

In a PPO, members typically have more flexibility in deciding their healthcare providers than in other managed care plans, such as HMOs. However, members can typically save money by using providers who are part of the PPO's network. So, the correct option is C.
