Discuss the following question. Would you recommend living in a city or living in the desert?
Include information about:
● the similarities and differences
● the reasons one place is better than the other
Answer:
Recommend living in the city.
Explanation:
Well, first of all, I'd recommend living in a city. Therefore it would have many places to get food or water, houses/condos/places to sleep, a job, and the weather is decent. In the desert, you may only get half of what you get in the city.
In the desert, there are limited water and food, weather is semi-decent, and there is barley any people living in the desert. (So much for having a social life, amirite?)
And, living in the desert, there aren't many properties for sale there. You'd have to buy a house for loads and tons of cash. In the city, it really depends on which city you live in to get the price of a house.
A city is a town with people and animals living there and relating with one another. The desert is a lonely and dusty piece of and with travelers passing through. I will recommend living in a city. A city and a desert are both situated on the land. However, living in the city is better than living in the desert because of the interactions between the multitude of people that dwell there. Living in the desert is harmful to health because of its dusty nature.
Given that the desert has little vegetation, few animals and individuals residing there, there is hardly anything to look forward to there. However, a city is bubbling with activities and will be exciting to live in. Therefore, living in the city is better than living in the desert.

ANTIGONE: Ismene, sister of my blood and heart, See'st thou how Zeus would in our lives fulfill The weird of Oedipus, a world of woes! For what of pain, affliction, outrage, shame, Is lacking in our fortunes, thine and mine? ISMENE: To me, Antigone, no word of friends Has come, or glad or grievous, since we twain Were reft of our two brethren in one day By double fratricide; and since i' the night Our Argive leaguers fled, no later news Has reached me, to inspirit or deject. ANTIGONE: I know 'twas so, and therefore summoned thee Beyond the gates to breathe it in thine ear. ISMENE: What is it? Some dark secret stirs thy breast. ANTIGONE: What but the thought of our two brothers dead, The one by Creon graced with funeral rites, The other disappointed? Eteocles He hath consigned to earth (as fame reports) With obsequies that use and wont ordain, So gracing him among the dead below…. Such is the edict (if report speak true) Of Creon, our most noble Creon, aimed At thee and me, aye me too; and anon He will be here to promulgate, for such As have not heard, his mandate; 'tis in sooth No passing humor, for the edict says Whoe'er transgresses shall be stoned to death.

Dust billowed up from the dirt road as Big Red raced through the country to the family farm. Dan drove his red car into the driveway as if it were on fire. The car barely had a chance to slow down before Dan was racing to Klairia's side.
"Did you hear what's going on downtown?" he asked breathlessly. "It's on all of the radio stations and on every news channel on TV."
"No, I haven't even turned on the TV or radio today," replied Klairia.
"Our town is being used to film a movie!" Dan yelled. "We should head down to see if we can spot a celebrity."
Klairia clapped her hands in delight. The friends jumped into the car and were zooming toward town. Suddenly, Big Red choked, groaned, and ground to a halt. Steam spilled out from under the hood. Dan exited the car and propped open the hood, only to discover that the radiator was cooked.
"It doesn't seem like Big Red will get us downtown. I guess we will have to wait for some other time to spot a celebrity," Klairia said.
"If you're up for it, we can make the hike to town and see if a mechanic at Joe's Auto Shop can get Big Red up and running. I would hate for us to miss this opportunity," said Dan.
"I'm up for it," Klairia exclaimed.
After ten minutes of walking in the hot sun, they detected the sound of a car engine. Turning around, they beheld a black limo coming to a stop behind them. The face of Rockley Sloan, the new up-and-coming actor on the hottest TV show, All the King's Horses, popped out of the back window.
"Do you guys need a ride into town?" he asked.
Klairia and Dan looked at each other in disbelief.
"Yes, please!" they said in unison.
Klairia and Dan climbed into the limo, barely concealing their excitement. Their dreams were coming true!
