Would you want Odysseus to be your leader? Use evidence from the text to support your analysis.
Answer:
This is an interesting question and certainly one that is up to a certain degree of interpretation. On one hand, it might be easy to argue that Odysseus is not a good leader, considering that all his men get killed over the course of their voyage. Much of this is the result of Odysseus's own pride, seeing as it is his boastfulness that results in the punishing wrath of Poseidon. If he had put the needs of his crew first, rather than needing to boast to Polyphemus, much harm could have been avoided. Furthermore, Odysseus could have done a better job communicating with his crew. If he had simply told them what was in the bag that Aeolus had given them, they would not have prematurely opened it and could have safely sailed home.
However, I might still argue that Odysseus is a good leader in spite of all this. Even in the face of all their hardships, he never gives up their goal of reaching home. He truly cares about his crew, for instance, going out of his way to see that the spirit of...

Answer:
There was a time last school year during summer when I went to cheer camp for my school. I was forced to be the second flyer. I felt like I couldn't do it because I was scared that my group might drop my because I've gotten the goofy group. They liked to play around too much and that made me worried. On our first try with doing cradle, of course they didn't catch me but good thing they didn't throw me high enough for me to not be able to land on my feet. After a couple of tries they only caught me once and it was time for lunch break. After the lunch break was over we went back to practicing cradle again. When we were done with the first practice I felt relieved because I thought we were going to move on to practice the cheer, but all of that fear came back when it was time to do it again. On the second practice day we did it again for recap from day one and when we did it, they dropped me because they threw me forwards, but good think I caught myself so the impact wouldn't hurt as much as it should. So after they dropped me I cried because what if the same mistake will happen to me and I fracture a bone like my mom did when they didn't catch her, she fractured her knee and still till this day sometimes come out of place. I didn't want to get hurt like she did so I quit. But as I thought about it, they need me for that part of the cheer so I kept going because on the last day the parents were gonna come and watch the final result of what we have been working on for the past three days and I didn't wanna disappoint my mom so I done it with confidence and got through it with no fear.

The quest for survival is a powerful human instinct. What determines who lived and who dies?
Answer:
They will live if they have the willpower to live and the skills to survive
Explanation:
If they have the determination to live and survival abilities, they will live.
What is an Instinct?A live organism's natural propensity towards certain complex behavior, encompassing both innate and learned components, is referred to as instinct.
A collection of actions that are both unlearned and initiated as a response to an environmental trigger are referred to as instincts. Since they might also be a reaction to an organism's desire to satiate some fundamental internal urge connected to survival, instincts are frequently considered in relation to motivation.
Innate behavior consists of two components: reflex and instinct. Reflexes are involuntary reactions that happen without any input from the brain. Examples of reflex actions include yawning, sneezing, shaking, immediately removing your hand from a hot surface, and blinking your eyes. Instincts are intricate patterns of natural behavior.

Answer:
No, Mary Warren never told the truth about what happened in the woods.

The mood often foreshadows upcoming events; for example, if a character is walking through dark woods alone, is being frightened by small noises, and is struggling to see through the fog, the atmosphere is creating tension for the reader and making the reader just as anxious as the character; the reader almost expects something to jump out at any minute. Think about the mood Lee creates in Chapters 27 and 28 and use the Text Editor to describe it. How does she create the emotional atmosphere of the story?
Answer:
For example, most ver- sions of this story feature not an entire village of blind people (as this version does), but a small group of blind men who claim to be wiser than their sighted neighbors. These blind men quarrel endlessly because none of them can see; none can put together all the evidence of all their senses or all the elephant’s various parts to create a whole.
How are the Greasers similar to the Socials? How are they different? Use at least 2 details from the text to support your answer.
Answer: Greasers are poor and have "gangs", and Socs are rich and have "social clubs". They hang out in different places - Ponyboy says that "the Socs go to The Way Out and to Rusty's, and the Greasers go to "The Dingo and to Jay's".
Explanation: We're poorer than the Socs and the middle class. I reckon we're wilder, too. Not like the Socs... Greasers are almost like hoods; we steal things and drive old souped-up cars and hold up gas stations and have a gang fight once in a while.

what is the difference between objective and subjective guilt?
Answer:
Subjective guilt requires a judgement to be made with the belief that one is actually guilty. Subjective guilt is associated with a feeling of responsibility, which leads to it often being seen as an irrational sort of guilt. This does not mean one can not be actually guilty of something when feeling subjective guilt. Objective guilt is the action of breaking a law or rule provided by a higher position. Once this is done you are objectively and factually guilty. Objective guilt is more fact based than Subjective based. Subjective is the breaking of ones personal moral codes, and Objective is the breaking of society's moral codes.

The dog dropped in again at his heels, with a tail drooping discouragement, as the man swung along the creek bed. This is a great lesson for all of us to learn, that in all matters the two extremes are alike. The extreme positive and the extreme negative are always similar. When the vibrations of light are too slow we do not see them, nor do we see them when they are too rapid. So with sound; when very low in pitch we do not hear it, when very high we do not hear it either. Of like nature is the difference between resistance and non-resistance. One man does not resist because he is weak, lazy and cannot; because he will not; the other man knows that he can strike an irresistible blow if he likes; yet he not only does not strike, but blesses his enemies. The one who from weakness resists not commits a sin, and as such cannot receive any benefit from the non-resistance, while the other would commit a sin by offering resistance. —Swami Vivekananda.
