[tex]\bold{\huge{\pink{\underline{ Solution }}}}[/tex]

[tex]\bold{\underline{ Given }}[/tex]

We have given two linear equations that is 2x - 3y = -6 and x + 3y = 12 .

[tex]\bold{\underline{ To \: Find }}[/tex]

We have to find the value of x and y by elimination method.

[tex]\bold{\underline{ Let's \: Begin }}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 2x - 3y = -6 ...eq(1)}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ x + 3y = 12 ...eq(2)}[/tex]

Multiply eq( 2 ) by 2 :-

[tex]\sf{ 2( x + 3y = 12 )}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 2x + 6y = 24 }[/tex]

Subtract eq(1) from eq(2) :-

[tex]\sf{ 2x + 6y -( 2x - 3y) = 24 -(-6)}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 2x + 6y - 2x + 3y = 24 + 6 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 9y = 30 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ y = 30/9}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{\red{ y = 10/3}}[/tex]

Now, Subsitute the value of y in eq( 1 ):-

[tex]\sf{ 2x - 3(10/3) = -6 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 2x - 10 = -6 }[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ 2x = -6 + 10}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{ x = 4/2}[/tex]

[tex]\sf{\red{ x = 2}}[/tex]

Hence, The value of x and y is 2 and 10/3

The graph is an illustration of an exponential function

The equation of the graph is: [tex]y = 25.5 * 0.6^x[/tex]

How to determine the equation of the graph

From the graph, we have the following ordered pairs

(x,y) = (0, 25.5), (1, 15.3) and (2, 9.18)

An exponential function is represented as:

[tex]y = ab^x[/tex]

When x = 0, we have:

[tex]25.5 = ab^0[/tex]

[tex]a = 25.5[/tex]

When x = 1, we have:

[tex]15.3 = ab^1[/tex]

[tex]15.3 = ab[/tex]

Substitute 25.5 for a

[tex]15.3 = 25.5b\\[/tex]

Solve for b

[tex]b = 0.6[/tex]

So, the exponential equation is:

[tex]y = 25.5 * 0.6^x[/tex]

Hence, the exponential equation of the graph is: [tex]y = 25.5 * 0.6^x[/tex]

g(x) =25.5(0.6)ˣ function best models the number of game consoles sold in millions x years since 2009?

From the given graph we can observe three ordered pairs which are  (0, 25.5), (1, 15.3) and (2, 9.18).

We have to find the function which best models the number of game consoles sold in millions x years since 2009.

This we can find by using exponential function.

y=abˣ

When x = 0, we have:

a=25.5

When x=1, then y should be 15.3

15.3=ab

Substitute 25.5 for a

15.3=25.5b

Divide both sides by 25.5:

b=0.6

So the function is g(x)=25.5(0.6)ˣ

Answer:

x=14

Step-by-step explanation:

This shape is a pentagon, as it has 5 sides. The formula to find the sum of the interior angles of a polygon is:

(n-2)*180

In this case n represents the number of sides. We can plug 5 into the equation to get...

(5-2)*180=3*180=540

Since all sides are equal, all angles are equal too therefore one angle is equivalent to...

540/5=108

This means...

9x-18=108

Add 18 to both sides

9x-18+18=108+18

9x=126

Divide both sides by 9

x=14

Answer:

x = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a pentagon and there are five sides in a pentagon. All of the sides degrees added together makes 540.

Since the angles are the same and the average angle of every pentagon is 108, then 9x - 18 = 108.

108 + 18 = 126

9x = 126

9x/9 = 126/9

x = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

-8/x - 11 = -2

First add 11 to both sides

-8/x - 11 + 11 = -2 + 11  simplifies to  -8/x = 9

Now multiply both side by x

( -8/x)  X ( x ) = ( 9 )  X ( x ) which simplifies to -8 = 9x

What is a polygon?

The polygon is a 2D geometry that has a finite number of sides. And all the sides of the polygon are straight lines connected to each other side by side.

Let 'n' be the number of sides of the polygon. Then the sum of the interior angles of the polygon is given as,

Sum of angles = (n - 2) × 180°

The sum of the interior angle of the pentagon is given as,

Sum of angles = (5 - 2) × 180°

Sum of angles = 3 × 180°

Sum of angles = 540°

And the diagram is given below. The equation is given as,

x + 90° + 90° + 140° + 140° = 540°

x + 460° = 540°

x = 540° - 460°

x = 80°

The measure of the fifth angle will be 80°. Then the correct option is B.

Which method can be used to solve for the number of nuggets each worker finds per hour?

Let a, b, and c represent the number of nuggets per hour that Kate, Kevin, and Greg finds, we have;

Kate, Kevin, and Greg works for 6, 7, and 4 hours respectively on Monday

On Tuesday, we have; 5, 5, and 6 hours respectively

On Wednesday, we have; 4, 8, and 6 hours respectively

Which gives the following system of simultaneous equations;

6·a + 7·b + 4·c = 51...(1)

5·a + 5·b + 6·c = 55...(2)

4·a + 8·b + 6·c = 54...(3)

Subtracting equation (2) from (3) gives;

4·a - 5·a + 8·b - 5·b + 6·c - 6·c = 54 - 55 = -1

3·b - a = -1

a = 3·b + 1

Which gives;

6·(3·b + 1) + 7·b + 4·c = 25·b + 4·c + 6 = 51

25·b + 4·c + 6 = 51

[tex]c = \dfrac{51 - 6 - 25\cdot b}{4} = \mathbf{ \dfrac{45 - 25\cdot b}{4}}[/tex]

5·(3·b + 1) + 5·b + 6·c = 20·b + 6·c + 5  = 55

20·b + 6·c + 5 = 55

Similarly;

[tex]c = \dfrac{55-5 - 20\cdot b}{6} = \mathbf{\dfrac{50 -20\cdot b}{6}}[/tex]

Which gives;

[tex]c = \dfrac{45-25\cdot b}{4} = \dfrac{50- 20\cdot b}{6}[/tex]

4 × (50 - 20·b) = 6 × (45 - 25·b)

200 - 80·b = 270 - 150·b

150·b - 80·b = 270 - 200 = 70

70·b = 70

b = 1

a = 3·b + 1

a = 3 × 1 + 1 = 4

a = 4

[tex]c = \dfrac{45-25\times 1}{4} = \mathbf{ 5}[/tex]

c = 5

BRAINLY TO WHOEVER ANSWERS CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!! The Journey I was hoping to catch the early bus that humid and muggy Sunday morning. My parents had been waiting across the border to pick me up. They had told me to get there with the first bus as it got jam-packed in the terminal with each bus pouring hundreds of poor workers from abroad into my country. My country was an exceptional land prosperous and bustling with wealthy tourists. It stood in such contrast to where I had been for the last several days. Poor, dirty, and in shambles. My maternal relatives lived in a neighboring country. I had gone there to visit my grandparents, aunts, and uncles, whom I had always wanted to meet. I immediately recognized my grandmother from the photos my mother had shown me growing up. Growing up, I also remembered the stories she told me every night of wonder and curiosity from her childhood. Her stories sometimes came reluctantly as if she wanted to erase those memories from her mind but felt obligated to relate those to me. Other times, the stories readily sprouted forth from her sweet mouth in her calm voice. During those moments, I tightly embraced her and looked at her in amazement. I was so proud of her for her struggles and triumphs over poverty amidst the lack of opportunities. I had an extra joyful time with my loved ones. They wanted me to stay longer. I loved them, but I loved my comfortable life in my homeland more. Alas, it was time to say goodbye and get on the bus home. I was melancholy as I hugged and kissed my grandma, who was even more sorrowful than I was. It was approximately a four-hour journey, but it felt much longer than that. As I rested my head against the window covered with dirty drapery and closed my eyes, I wondered why time crawled when I wasnt in one of my most radiant moods. In my head, though, it was another scene as thoughts hurtled through my mind one after the other trying to grab my attention first. Consequently, my mental fatigue physically made me sluggish. I was exhausted and couldnt pick and choose which one was more worthy of my energy and time to start with. I decided to let my thoughts get the best of me.ProblemRead aloude Which phrase from paragraph 1 clarifies the meaning of jam-packed?Abustling with wealthy touristsBwaiting across the borderCfrom abroad into my countryDhundreds of poor workers
