The Haitian Revolution was a victorious rebellion by self-emancipated slaves against French colonial control in Saint-Domingue, which is now the sovereign state of Haiti. The insurrection began on August 22, 1791, and ended with the erstwhile colony's independence in 1804.

The Haitian Revolution is sometimes referred to as the greatest and most successful slave insurrection in the Western Hemisphere.

In Saint Domingue, slavery and the plantation system produced a racially divided society. Summarize Andrew Jackson's presidency. ( Rough draft ) 100 words or more needed

Answers

Answer:

Hope this helps!

Explanation:

Andrew Jackson, also known as the "People's President," was elected 7th president of the United States in 1829, alongside his vice president John C. Calhoun.  He served two terms as president.

Jackson was the first-ever president to invite the public to visit the inauguration ball at the White House, making him very loved by the citizens.  He did many good things when he was in the office, however, he also did some not so good things.  For example, Jackson established the principle that says states will not disregard federal law, but he also signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which caused the Trail of Tears.

Another thing he is known for is being the founder of the Democratic Party.  And despite destroying the Second Bank of the United States, Jackson still managed to get his face on the 20 dollar bill.  President Jackson passed away on June 8, 1845.

(Not sure if this is 100 words or not...you can count)

Answer:

This was my rough draft, but if you want to use it made sure you change some stuff so you don't get in trouble for plagiarizing!!

Explanation:

Who was the 7th president of the United States? Well it was Andrew Jackson and there's a lot more to it! Here’s some crazy things he had done and was a part of, Jackson took part in the  Corrupt Election of 1824, and also created the Jacksonian Democracy, and Indian Removal Act. He also happened to be an American Soldier before becoming president, more on that later though. And these topics all happen to be the topics we’re talking about so let's get into it!

Jackson was a part of the Corrupt Election of 1824, although he did not have the majority votes he had the most, yet he still lost! This is what caused the Corrupt Bargain of 1824. That year he was running for president against John Quincy Adams, who happened to be coming in 2nd place. So how did Jackson lose? Since neither had majority votes, and they were decently close in tallies, they had to go to the house of representatives for them to choose the next president. The House of Representatives did not like Andrew Jackson as much, so most of the House of Representatives voted for John Quincy Adams. Even when Jackson had the most votes before going to the House of Representatives. In return John Quincy Adam gave the Head of the House of Representatives a job at the White house, as President. This is what created the Corrupt Bargain. This angered Andrew Jackson and at the next election he went full out, including saying how he had been an American soldier, so he could get more votes. And it ended up working and he became president for the next two terms. To be more specific he served from March 4th 1829 through March 4th 1837.

In 1825 Andrew Jackson created the Jacksonian Democracy and ended up making it last about 30 years! The Jacksonian Democracy was built on the principles of expanded suffrage, Manifest Destiny, Patronage, strict constructionism, and laissez-faire economics. He created the expanded suffrage which caused people to have more voting rights. This also caused that none of the states when entering the Union required white men to have property if they wanted to vote. And By the Civil war none of the states except one had property requirements. There was also a patronage, also known as the spoils system where the President can choose the people he works around in the government. If he wanted someone to have the job, and if they wanted the job. They got the job. Jackson also preferred a hands off approach to the economy which also was part of the opposition of the Federal bank. There was slight good, regarding the not so great. Jackson did not have very much education, although Elites with education were still favors, Jackson did not really care.

In 1830, Andrew Jackson created the Indian Removal Act, also known as the Trail of Tears. Most white Americans supported this act because it gave many Southerners the chance to expand more. Many Indians were forced to go to lands that Americans choose for them, and make the Natives leave the places they were living. A few of the Indian tribes had gone peacefully, but since they were being forced to leave many resisted the recolonization. It took the fall and winter of 1838 and 1839, and approximately 4,000 Cherokees died during this forced recolonization.

In the end, Andrew Jackson had done many things for this country. This included participating in The Corrupt Bargain of 1824, creating the Jacksonian Democracy, and creating the Indian removal act.

He used a prism to separate sunlight into it's different colors and thermometers to measure how much "heat energy" was included with each color. He also measured how much "brightness" was associated with each color. He noticed a "brightness" peak at the middle of the spectrum. Red and violet had the least amount of brightness with a "peak" at green and yellow. But for "heat energy", violet had the least and the amount of heat climbed more and more and showed no sign of a "peak" . His observations supported the idea that neither Brightness nor heat were evenly distributed between the different colors. Some colors had more brightness (green and yellow) and a different color had the most heat (red). But this lead to a new question. Did the "heat" exist even where there was no visible light and did it peak at wavelengths less than red. He did another set of experiments and found this to be the case. He again used a prism to separate sunlight into the colors of the rainbow. These colors were cast on a sheet of paper and a thermometer could be moved from one color to the next to measure the amount of heat. But this time, he moved the thermometers beyond the red light and made measurements on the paper where there was no visible light. He found the maximum amount of heat at wavelengths longer visible red light. When Herschel selected where to place his thermometer and then measure the temperature, which variable was the Independent variable.Question options:A.
