Explanation:

The old man hung his head for a moment in thought. Then he stood up and stared at me. “Friend,” he said, “I do not like to have you speak to me in that manner.” I kept still and let him have his say. “I know these Americans are good people, and that is why I have agreed to sell my house to them. But I do not care to be insulted. I have agreed to sell my house and land for twelve hundred dollars and that is the price.”

I argued with him, but it was useless. Finally he signed the deed and took the money but refused to take more than the amount agreed upon. Then he shook hands all around, put on his ragged gloves, took his stick and walked out with the boy behind him.

The options are finally , later , originally and consequently:

Answers

Answer:

Originally makes the most sense.

Finally means last, which is future tense and would not make much sense.

Later is also future tense, which would be confusing.

Consequently means as a result of something, and that would cause a sentence fragment if added.

And with that info, that only leaves "originally".

What an essay of at least 300 words, PLEASE ANSWER I WILL GIVE 40 POINTS!!!!!!!! (That is all I have) What kind of a person is Susan? Is your impression of her favorable or unfavorable? Why? Back up your conclusion with examples from the text. Is the author's presentation of Susan realistic and believable? Why or why not? How does the author show you Susan's weaknesses? Give examples. How does the author bring out elements of Susan's personality--through dialogue, description, or action? Give examples.
(This is about Harriet Tubman and Susan is her first mistress.)

Answers

Susan B Anthony was women who didn’t just want to sit down and let men control who she was. Susan was a crusader for women’s suffrage and she wouldn’t give up without a fight. My impression of Susan B Anthony is very Good because as I said before she stood up for not only herself, but all other women who didn’t have the courage to say what they wanted to say or they were all just to scared to say it.

The Author’s presentation of Susan B Anthony is very realistic and believable in my opinion because the Author shows off Susan’s strengths, such as her way of speaking. One of Susan’s many Strengths was her Speeches, from what I read in the text, Susan had a lot on her mind and said it in a way that stirred up the crowd. The Author also shows Susan’s weakness which was mostly the law. The law was trying to keep Susan B Anthony silent as well as all other women. One way the Author shows this is when Men try to stop her at different times throughout the text, or Men seem to be looking down on her in the text.

The Author brings out more of Susan B Anthony’s personality by showing us in his writing how compassionate Susan is about her speeches, or how fair she is to everyone. Susan B Anthony was a great leader, and even though what she wanted to believe still didn’t come true, I know that she inspired all other women to start to stand up for themselves and not let anyone keep them down any longer. Susan B Anthony may not be here, but the fight for Women’s rights still continue. The flame that she has helped sit has yet to die down. Her fight will live on in history!
