Write a program that reads a list of integers, and outputs the two smallest integers in the list, in ascending order. The input begins with an integer indicating the number of integers that follow. You can assume that the list will have at least 2 integers and fewer than 20 integers. Ex: If the input is: 5 10 5 3 21 2 the output is: 2 3 To achieve the above, first read the integers into an array. Hint: Make sure to initialize the second smallest and smallest integers properly.

Chemistry Matters

Subjects that we learn in school can lead us down all kinds of different career pathways. In these three cases, watch how an interest in chemistry helped some people find the perfect career. Note how each of these chemistry enthusiasts ended up in different career clusters.

Career Connections: Food Scientist

Career Connections: Chemical Engineer

Career Connections: Chemist

Now imagine that you are a reporter. Your local high school has decided to do away with chemistry class because no one seems to want to take it. You have been asked to do a five-minute news segment on the ways that keeping the chemistry class can positively impact the community. To prepare for the segment, watch the above videos and consult the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook.

In your video, answer the following questions:

How did chemistry prepare each of these people for their career?

What opportunities was each person able to take advantage of as a result of their background in chemistry?

What is the career outlook for each of these careers?

How you get into the field (Hint: See the “How to become…” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

Typical pay (Hint: See the “Pay” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

How fast this career is expected to grow (Hint: See the “Job Outlook” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

How does each person’s work benefit the community? (This will help people understand the importance of offering chemistry to those who are still in school.)

It’s up to you to convince your viewers that chemistry can be useful in planning their career paths! Create and upload a five-minute video of your news segment.

How did chemistry prepare each of these people for their career?

All of their jobs are related with some form of Chemistry. Food Scientists work with different foods, and working on making better ones. Chemical Engineers focus on finding new and innovative uses for different elements. And Chemists focus on different breakthroughs in the periodic table. It all came from the first Chemistry Course they took in high school.

What opportunities was each person able to take advantage of as a result of their background in chemistry?

As said previously, they all studied chemistry from College (Maybe even High School.) If they never took these courses, they would be behind and it would be much harder for them to pursue any of these careers.

What is the career outlook for each of these careers?

All of these careers make $72,610  per year, as of 2015. This is a whole $6,050 per month, $1,512 a week. Plenty of influential people were Chemists, included Alfred Nobel, Marie Curie, and Louis Pasteur.

How you get into the field (Hint: See the “How to become…” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

To enter the field, you need to start studying Chemistry. There are many paths of Chemistry, such as Biochemistry and Chemistry. These each branch out in several different ways. Think of it like a tree.

Typical pay (Hint: See the “Pay” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

As said in an earlier segment, the average Chemist makes $72,610 per year, as of 2015, and the average Chemical Engineer makes up to 90k per year.

How fast this career is expected to grow (Hint: See the “Job Outlook” section of the Occupational Outlook Handbook)

This is a career that will always be needed. Discovering new elements for the periodic table is extremely important. No matter where we live, whether in America, in Europe, even on another planet, this job will always be a necessity.

How does each person’s work benefit the community? (This will help people understand the importance of offering chemistry to those who are still in school.)

Each person's work is extremely beneficial, because without this branch, and every chemist's work, we would not have:

1. Clean Water

2. Gasoline

3. Antibiotics or Vaccines

4. Electricity

5. Plastic

And many other things would not exist.

The summary below was written by the Congressional Research Service, which is a nonpartisan division of the Library of Congress.

12/18/2014--Public Law. (This measure has not been amended since it was passed by the Senate on December 11, 2014. The summary of that version is repeated here.)

Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2014 - Title I: Public-Private Collaboration on Cybersecurity - (Sec. 101) Amends the National Institute of Standards and Technology Act to permit the Secretary of Commerce, acting through the Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to facilitate and support the development of a voluntary, consensus-based, industry-led set of standards and procedures to cost-effectively reduce cyber risks to critical infrastructure.

Requires the Director, in carrying out such activities, to: (1) coordinate regularly with, and incorporate the industry expertise of, relevant private sector personnel and entities, critical infrastructure owners and operators, sector coordinating councils, Information Sharing and Analysis Centers, and other relevant industry organizations; (2) consult with the heads of agencies with national security responsibilities, sector-specific agencies, state and local governments, governments of other nations, and international organizations; (3) identify a prioritized, flexible, repeatable, performance-based, and cost-effective approach, including information security measures and controls, that may be voluntarily adopted by owners and operators of critical infrastructure to help identify, assess, and manage cyber risks; and (4) include methodologies to mitigate impacts on business confidentiality, protect individual privacy and civil liberties, incorporate voluntary consensus standards and industry best practices, align with international standards, and prevent duplication of regulatory processes.

Prohibits the Director from prescribing a specific solution or requiring that products or services be designed or manufactured in a particular manner.

Prohibits information provided to NIST for purposes of developing cyber risk standards from being used by federal, state, tribal, or local agencies to regulate the activity of any entity.

Directs the Comptroller General (GAO) to submit biennial reports over a specified period concerning NIST's progress in facilitating the development of such standards and procedures. Requires such reports to address the extent to which such standards: (1) are voluntary and led by industry representatives, (2) have been promoted by federal agencies and adopted by sectors of critical infrastructure, and (3) have protected against cyber threats. Instructs the Comptroller General to include in such reports an assessment of the reasons behind decisions of sectors to adopt or not adopt such standards.

Title II: Cybersecurity Research and Development - (Sec. 201) Directs the following agencies, working through the National Science and Technology Council and the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development Program, to develop, and update every four years, a federal cybersecurity research and development strategic plan:

The Council's role has been to assist and support the President regarding national security and foreign policies ever since its inception under Truman. This Committee often acts as the primary arm of a President to organize these initiatives between government agencies.

The Leader holds sway over the NSC. Its Secretary Of Defense offers a range of options for the Administration on policy issues. The director of national intelligence helps prepare the administration's foreign travel, among other tasks, and offers context memos and staffing for the administration's discussions and phone interviews involving global leaders.

Safety investments were taken for many years utilizing threat cost-benefit analysis wherein the effect metric has been largely focused on even a risk reduction comparative estimate. To evaluate investment decisions, most aim to conduct similar analyses.

Even so, the potential threat is much harder to measure for high-security installations that potential hazard since the likelihood of an attack is highly uncertain and depends strongly on undefinable psychological factors like deterrence as well as the intensity of enemy goals.

Review how to write a for loop by choosing the output of this short program.

for counter in range(3):
print(counter * 2)

Please explain it to me, I’m not learning Bc I don’t have a teacher.

Answers

Answer:

The output is:

0

2

4

Explanation:

First of all, the print statement must be indented with a tab, otherwise it is not part of the for loop.

The range(3) creates an array with values 0,1,2. The variable 'counter' gets those values one after another, and the print statement outputs this value doubled, hence the 0, 2 and 4 output.

Put the steps in order to produce the output shown below. Assume the indenting will be correct in the program.

Write a version of the sequential search algorithm that can be used to search a sorted list. Write a program to test the sequential search algorithm. Use either the function bubbleSort or insertionSort to sort the list before the search. Your program should prompt the user to enter 10 digits and then prompt the user to enter a digit to search - if the list contains this digit, output its position to the console:

Answers

Answer:

#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

void insertionSort(int myArr[]){

  int currentvalue, position;

  for (int i = 1; i < myArr.size(); ++i){

    currentvalue = myArr[i] ;

    position = i;

    while (position>0 and myArr[position-1]>currentvalue){

        myArr[position]= myArr[position-1] ;

        position = position-1 ;

     }

    myArr[position]= currentvalue;

  }

}

int main(){

   int numberList[10], search;

   for (int x = 0; x < 10; ++x){

       cin>> numberList[x];

   }

   insertionSort(numberList);

   cout << "Enter the search term/number: ";

   cin>> search;

   for (int i = 0; < 10; ++x){

       if (search == number[i]){

           cout<< i;

           break;

       } else {

           cout<< "Number does not exist.";

       }

}

}

Explanation:

The C++ source code defines the insertionSort void function, then prompts the user ten times to fill the array numberList. It uses the insertion sort algorithm to sort the array of ten items and then a number is searched using a sequential search algorithm.

Create a php user defined function called MinMax. The function accepts two numbers as arguments and it returns the string: "The minimum number is x and the maximum number is y" where x and y are the minimum and the maximum numbers respectively. For example, if the numbers 20 and 4 are passed to the function MinMax, it should return the string:

 }

}

MinMax(20,4);

What is a list in computer language?

A list is a collection of items that can be ordered or unordered. Adding, removing, and storing items are just a few of the many uses for lists. However, the software needs adequate memory to keep up with changes made to the list in order for the programmer to do the various duties for the list.

An ordered group of values is a list. The components of a list are referred to as its elements or items. An ordered list of numbers (or other items like geometric objects) is referred to as a sequence, and it frequently follows a certain pattern or function.

A list is a series of different variables that are all gathered under one common name. Rather than creating a program with numerous variables,

Create a view named MAINE_TRIPS. It consists of the trip ID, trip name, start location, distance, maximum group size, type, and season for every trip located in Maine (ME). Write and execute the CREATE VIEW command to create the MAINE_TRIPS view. Write and execute the command to retrieve the trip ID, trip name, and distance for every Biking trip. Write and execute the query that the DBMS actually executes. Does updating the database through this view create any problems

Answers

Answer:

CREATE VIEW [MAINE_TRIPS] AS

SELECT trips_id, trip_name, start_location, distance, maximum_group_size , type, season

FROM trip

WHERE STATE = 'ME';

- To update a view, use the CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW clause. This would update the view with no errors.

Explanation:

The SQL statement above creates a view called MAINE_TRIPS from the trip table. A view is a virtual table that hold the result of query from an actual table.

It accepts all clauses like a normal table. For example, to get the trip id, name and distance column and the rows with the trip type biking;

SELECT trip_id, trip_name, distance FROM [MAINE_TRIPS]

WHERE type = 'biking'

A company is performing an analysis on the computers at its main office. The computers are spaced along a single row. The analysis is performed in the following way: 1. Choose a contiguous segment of a certain number of computers, starting from the beginning of the row. 2. Analyze the available hard disk space on each of the computers. 3. Determine the minimum available disk space within this segment.

Answers

Answer:

int_arr = [int(x) for x in array]

segment = int(input("Enter the length of segment to analyze: "))

list_len = len(int_arr)

segList = []

mini = []

for x,i in enumerate(int_arr):

   seg = int_arr[i-1:segment+i-1]

   if len(seg) == segment:

       segList.append(seg)

for x in segList:

   mini.append(min(x))

result = mini.index(min(mini))

print("Segment with the minimum memory is: ",segList[result])

Explanation:

The python program prints out the segment after analysis, with the smallest disk memory space. The code gets the array of computer rows from the user input and segments the array with the number of segment input, then the minimum is compared for all segments in the network.

Explanation:

Using the Python programming language, I defined a function as listSum that accepts a list as a parameter and returns the sum of the elements in the list.

The most important logic here is defining the range of elements in the list not to exceed the length of the list using the len function. Then using a for statement, we loop through each element and add them up to a sum variable initially assigned the value of 0.
