The average speed of swimmer is 10 km/hr.
Speed is the rate of change of position of an object in any direction.
Distance is the total movement of an object without any regard to direction.
Given distance of pond is 1 km.
She swims 20 laps , i.e. total distance = 20 * 1 km = 20 km
Time taken to complete = 2 hr
There a relation between speed distance and time which is given by:
Speed = Distance / Time
⇒Speed = 20/2 = 10 km/hr
So the average speed of swimmer is 10 km/hr.

Use this free body diagram to help you find the magnitude of the force F1 needed to keep this block in static equilibrium.
Static equilibrium means that all forces are equal, so to make this easiest you want to break F1 into it's horizontal and vertical components. As there are no other forces acting in the horizontal, we know the horizontal component of F1 is 40N.
What is static equilibrium ?Dynamic equilibrium is a state in which bodies are moving at a constant speed as opposed to static equilibrium, which is a state in which bodies are at rest (rectilinear motion). The total amount of forces exerted on them in both situations is zero.
When two forces are acting on an object that is in static equilibrium, it indicates that their sum is zero, which makes static equilibrium a useful analytical tool. You may create an equation to figure out the direction and strength of the unknown force if you know the direction and strength of one of the forces.
Thus, Static equilibrium means that all forces are equal, so to make this easiest you want to break F1 into it's horizontal and vertical components.

According to the given statement the energy is stored in Long solenoid is U = 2.14 × 10⁻⁶ J.
Why is energy such a big deal?Energy is a crucial part of our everyday life although becoming an basic human need. The buildings that people have constructed are heated and cooled by energy. To raise a foot, get out of couch, or even simply walk and along main path, you need energy.
Briefing:
The diameter of the solenoid is given as 3cm or 0.03m.
The length of the solenoid is given as 12cm or 0.12m.
Current is given as 0.79A
The cross-sectional area of the solenoid is
A = πd²/4
A = π (0.03)²/4 = 0.000225m²
Inductance of the solenoid can be found out using the below formula,
L = μ₀ N² A/l
where, μ₀ is vacuum permeability
N is number of turns
A is cross-sectional area
l is length
L = μ₀ N² A/l
L = 4π × 10⁻⁷ * (150)² *0.000225/0.79 = 8.05 × 10⁻⁶ H
U = 1/2 L*i²
U = 0.5 * 8.05 × 10⁻⁶ * (0.73)²

Groundwater originates from precipitation and snowmelt, which seeps into the surface of the Earth.
Most groundwater is derived as meteoric water from precipitation in the form of snow or rain. If it is not lost by transpiration, evaporation, or stream runoff, water from these sources generally infiltrates into the ground.
Initial amounts of water from precipitation onto dry soil are held very tightly as surface films and in the micropores of the particles of soil. At intermediate levels, water films cover the solid particles, but the air is still present in the voids of the soil. This region is called the zone of aeration or unsaturated zone, and the water present is known as vadose water. At lower depths and in presence of sufficient amounts of water, all such voids are filled to give a zone of saturation, the upper level of which is the water table. consider a conductor at rest in a static electric field. which statement is true about how the conductor interacts with the electric field?
Option (a) is Correct. Take a look at a static electric field around a conductor at rest. then the conductor's internal electric field is exactly zero.
Electrons are free to move in a conductor. If they are subjected to a force, they will move faster in that direction. A force F = -eE acts on each free electron when a conductor is exposed to an external electric field. Electrons gain speed and accelerate in the direction that is the opposite of the field. There are no closed loops formed by electric field lines.
Because electric field lines begin with positive charge and conclude with negative charge, the assertion is accurate. A loop can never be closed since the starting and ending points of the electric field lines are different. Charges that are free to move are present in conductors. Charges in a conductor react swiftly to attain a constant state known as electrostatic equilibrium when an excess of charge is applied to the conductor or the conductor is placed in a static electric field.

The maximum speed of her brother as he swings (her brother sits passively in the swing.) is 1.14 m/s
The gravitational potential energy of the brother increases as he is lifted to a higher height. This increase in gravitational potential energy is converted to kinetic energy (the energy of motion) as the brother swings back down and gains speed. The maximum speed will be reached when all of the gravitational potential energy has been converted to kinetic energy.
The change in gravitational potential energy can be calculated using the formula:
ΔE = mgh
where m is the mass of the brother, g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s^2), and h is the change in height.
Plugging in the values, we get:
ΔE = mgh = (50 kg)(9.8 m/s^2)(1.08 m - 0.34 m) = 330.8 kg*m^2/s^2
The maximum kinetic energy of the brother can be calculated using the formula:
E = 1/2 * m * v^2
where m is the mass of the brother, and v is the velocity (speed).
To find the maximum speed, we set the kinetic energy equal to the change in gravitational potential energy and solve for v:
E = 330.8 kgm^2/s^2 = 1/2 * (50 kg) * v^2
v = √(2E/m)
= √(2(330.8 kgm^2/s^2)/(50 kg))
= √(66.16/50)
= √(1.3232)
= 1.14 m/s
Thus, the maximum speed of the brother as he swings is approximately 1.14 m/s.

Shape of a solid
Volume of a liquid
What are the states of matter?In our introductory science lessons, we must have leant that matter is any thing that has mass and occupy space. We know that matter can occur in three states of matter and these are the solid, liquid and gaseous stage of matter.
Now we know that a liquid has a definite volume but does not have a definite shape. The gas on the other hand does not have a definite shape and a definite volume. It takes the shape and the volume of the container where it is found.
A solid would always retain in itself, a definite shape and a definite volume. This is why the solid is not compressible but the liquid and the gas are compressible.

a fairground ride spins its occupants inside a flying-saucer-shaped vehicle. if the horizontal circular path the riders follow has a radius of 6.5 m, at how many revolutions per minute will the riders be subjected to a centripetal acceleration 1.65 times that due to gravity?
The riders make 15.09 rev/min when they are subjected to a centripetal acceleration 1.65 times that due to gravity.
Given that,
Radius of circular path = 6.5 m
Let ω be the angular velocity of ride
Centripetal acceleration is given by ω²r
which should be equal to gravity 1.65* (g)
ω²r = 1.65* g
ω² = (1.65* g)/r
ω = √(1.65* g/r) = √(1.65* 9.81/ 6.5) = 1.58 rad/sec
We know that, 1 rad/sec = 9.55 rev/min
So, converting rad/sec to rev/min we have,
ω = 1.58* 9.55 = 15.09 rev/min
