write a essay on why children should be able to go to neighborhood schools it must not be less than 300 words

Answers

Answer:

This essay is about my opinion on why I think that children should be able to go to neighbourhood schools.

I believe this because It would have a better impact on the world and our surroundings for example, if children were in neighbourhood schools the transport use in the area would be less, putting less pollution in our air. If I child goes to a school far away on a bus it’s not as bad as that bus can hold up to 20-25 people. therefore 1 vehicle- 20 students. Whereas if students take their own car and everyone takes their own cars there Is more vehicles with less human transport.

They would feel more comfortable in and out of school for example they would be closer to home for emergencies. If they know there way around and are used to the area then the children should then feel more safer in a more comfortable, close-to-home environment.

If children come across as ill during school it is a less drive putting less pollution in the atmosphere, or they could even walk home.

Children having houses nearer school would make it easier if the children wanted to go have lunch at home or in the town, then return to school after the break.

If they leave then neighbourhood, they wouldn’t take as much pride in the town as a community

There may be some disadvantages to going to a closer school such as, to get the grades you need for your dream job may depend on the quality of the school itself.

Statistics show that school effectiveness studies show that the importance of schools on child academic progress doesn’t make much of a difference. But statistics show shat children feel more safer in a closer school.

In conclusion I believe being in a closer school is beneficial.

Explanation:

It makes you feel like something is missing or it went by too fast. It shows you how fast a couple could fall in love, and the raw passionate side of it. The tension makes you stay on the edge of your seat wondering what might happen next. Othe part of the question is discussed below.

What is "Romeo and Juliet"?

"Romeo and Juliet" is a tragic, romantic play that was written by William Shakespeare, and it was believed to first have been published between 1591 and 1595. It is probably one of the best known, and most interpreted of Shakespeare´s plays.

It narrates the live stories of two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, who meet by chance, fall in love really fast, and then sacrifice their very lives for the sake of that love. Romeo's love never seemed real, especially if you take into consideration that Romeo and Juliet knew each other for about a month, or so.

You cannot start loving someone in such a short period of time, especially given that Romeo is like 18, and Juliet 14. Compared to modern ideas of love, their love is much more romanticized, it no longer exists (if it ever did), and it seems quite unreal.

Therefore, It makes you feel like something is missing or it went by too fast. It shows you how fast a couple could fall in love.

How could Scrooge, his experiences and his reactions to them be seen as a comment on humanity in general?
[Worth 6 marks)
Christmas carol

Answers

Answer:

Dickens' work Christmas Carol is the critique of the cruelty and stingy people filled with greed who think too highly of themselves. The character of Scrooge (especially compared to Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim) should remind us that money does not make a man, but can sometimes even turn people unkind and greedy, and that the true values and real happiness lies in kindness and benevolence.

Explanation:

Christmas Carol and Scrooge are a commentary on the greed and the unkindness of people, and the way they can forget others and where they came from if they have more than others. It is the critique of the privileged who do not use their benefits and wealth to help others, but rather think too highly of themselves.

The story shows how those who do not have a connection to the virtues will become isolated from society, too negative and hated by everyone. We see people cherish Scrooge’s death when the Ghost of Christmas future shows him his destiny. This should remind us that history does not look fondly upon the unkind and cruel people and that they shall leave no decent mark on humanity.

Christmas Carol also tries to remind us that money does not mean goodness and compassion, but that sometimes the best people and the most generous are those who do not have much. Dickens tries to remind us of what humanity really means and the true values of the world that matter in the long run.

Which narrative point of view is used in this excerpt from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll?

And so it was indeed: she was now only ten inches high, and her face brightened up at the thought that she was now the right size for going through the little door into that lovely garden. First, however, she waited for a few minutes to see if she was going to shrink any further: she felt a little nervous about this; 'for it might end, you know,' said Alice to herself, 'in my going out altogether, like a candle. I wonder what I should be like then?' And she tried to fancy what the flame of a candle is like after the candle is blown out, for she could not remember ever having seen such a thing.

After a while, finding that nothing more happened, she decided on going into the garden at once; but, alas for poor Alice! when she got to the door, she found she had forgotten the little golden key, and when she went back to the table for it, she found she could not possibly reach it: she could see it quite plainly through the glass, and she tried her best to climb up one of the legs of the table, but it was too slippery; and when she had tired herself out with trying, the poor little thing sat down and cried.

3. “The sniper looked at his enemy falling, and he shuddered. The lust of battle died in him. He became bitten by remorse. The sweat stood out in beads on his forehead. Weakened by his wound and the long summer day of fasting and watching on the roof, he revolted from the sight of the shattered mass of his dead enemy. His teeth chattered, he began it gibber himself, cursing the war, cursing himself, cursing everybody.” The sniper succeeded in killing his enemy. Does this event create internal or external conflict for the sniper? Explain and cite text evidence. Applying ACE’D (Answer, Cite, Elaborate and Delineate).Write 4-6 complete sentences citing relevant evidence “directly” (quoting) and indirectly. This is from "The Sniper"

Answers

Answer:

The Sniper killing his enemy creates an internal conflict.  We see this in the quote, "...cursing the war, cursing himself, cursing everybody." This shows how the sniper was upset or even mortified at the killing of his enemy. Thus The Sniper feels remorse and probably wishes this said war had never started.

Goodbye Days is a young adult novel by Jeff Zentner. Published in 2017, it follows a teenage boy, Carver Briggs, who is grappling with the deaths of his three best friends. All three boys died in a car crash on their way to pick up Carver from work. Carver’s survivor’s guilt is exacerbated by the fact that he’s facing a possible criminal investigation for “negligent homicide” for his supposed role in the accident. Carver texted the boy driving when the crash occurred, and it appears that the boy crashed while trying to respond to Carver’s text. The book follows Carver’s attempts to cope with his grief and guilt by having a series of “goodbye days” with each of the dead boys’ families—a sort of tribute to the dead.

Jeff Zentner is the author of several young adult novels. He lives in Nashville, where Goodbye Days is set. His novels have been translated into 15 languages. He is also a successful guitarist and songwriter, and music plays a part in many of his works, including Goodbye Days. The edition of the novel used for this study guide was published by Crown Books in 2017.

Plot Summary

Carver Briggs is a 17-year-old high school student whose three best friends have just died in a violent car crash. Eli Bauer, Blake Lloyd, and Thurgood Marshall (“Mars”) were Carver’s best friends. The boys, who called themselves “Sauce Crew,” were all preparing to enter their senior year at Nashville Arts Academy. Carver blames himself for the accident because Mars was responding to a text message he sent when the accident happened. The story is told from Carver’s point of view, allowing an intimate look at the emotional journey the boy goes through following this trauma.

In the wake of the accident, Carver is left lonely and grappling with feelings of guilt and grief. These feelings are amplified by the fact that some of the dead boys’ family members blame him. Mars’s father, Judge Edwards, goes so far as to call for the district attorney to open up an investigation into the accident. Carver’s parents, as a precaution, hire a lawyer to protect him. The lawyer explains that Carver could be charged with criminally negligent homicide. Carver thus deals with this stress on top of the guilt and grief he already feels.

The narrative follows Carver’s emotional evolution as he comes to terms with the deaths of his friends. The story is driven by a series of goodbye days: Carver has a day with each of the dead boy’s family members, memorializing the deceased. Each goodbye day allows the reader to become intimately acquainted with one of the dead boys through the stories their loves ones tell about them.

The goodbye days take place against the backdrop of Carver’s near-constant emotional distress, conveyed through internal monologues, dreams, memories of his friends, and imaginary conversations with the dead boys. Carver’s grief and guilt manifest physically in panic attacks. Carver also develops romantic feelings for the girl Eli was dating before his death, Jesmyn Holder. These feelings further exacerbate his guilt.

Ultimately, the investigation into Carver’s role in the accident is dropped. Not only is Carver absolved in the eyes of the law, but he also manages to absolve himself of his own guilt. With the help of his therapist, Dr. Mendez, Carver reframes his view of the accident. He learns that it’s unwise and even dangerous to attribute a cause to every event in a chaotic universe. By the book’s end, Carver has managed to find closure and appears to be adjusting to life after the accident.
