Describe how parenting, divorce, school, and peers may influence social and emotional development during middle childhood

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

So cademically, kids going through divorce may earn lower grades and even face a higher dropout rate compared to their peers. These effects may be seen as early as age 6 but may be more noticeable as kids reach the ages of 13 to 18 years old.Peers also may influence children emotional because they can be mean and bully because of the fact that the victims parents have divorced.Peers may influence their peers also emotionally by bullying for many reasons clothing food learning ability or just making fun or being mean to others cause they like it kids can get depressed and embarrassed and that is what usually happens.School can affect kids emotionally too because when your child is at school the teachers are in charge of him or her and they give the children work sometimes kids have a hard time learning so the teachers maybe mock them because of that say that they don't know anything and the child is emotionally effected they are sad they think that they are good for nothing and kids will also mock.

What were the economic obstacles to the American System

Answers

The American System was an economic plan that played an important role in American policy during the first half of the 19th century. Rooted in the "American School" ideas of Alexander Hamilton, the plan "consisted of three mutually reinforcing parts: a tariff to protect and promote American industry; a national bank to foster commerce; and federal subsidies for roads, canals, and other 'internal improvements' to develop profitable markets for agriculture".[attribution needed][1] Congressman Henry Clay was the plan's foremost proponent and the first to refer to it as the "American System".

What does the tooth fairy do with the teeth she collects?

Answers

Answer:

Each year, the tooth fairy collects thousands of teeth. Over millions of years, she has collected milions of teeth. Similar to Santa Claus, she has thousands of elves to do her bidding. Unlike Santa Claus, these elves aren't really elves. They're teeth that have mutated into teeth-people. These teeth-people have only one objective: to colonize the earth with more teeth-people. The tooth fairy knows this, and uses it to her advantage. She grinds into the teeth-people's brains that if they follow her orders, it will lead to the colonization of earth by the teeth people, ruled by herself, the tooth fairy.

Now, what she does with the non-mutated teeth is quite simple. She uses them to expand her earth colonizing arsenal. Some teeth are ground into teeth dust and then mixed into a clay stronger than iron, which is used to create a device (shockingly similar in design to the death star.) This device has the power to suck the teeth from all the humans on the earth. (Not the animals though, the teeth people wish to live harmoniously with them.) This device will be used to extract the teeth and once all the humans are toothless, she will dispose of them by setting them into orbit aboard what appears to be a giant tooth biosphere, in which they will live in a climate similar to that of a tooth. Why? I guess she has a weird sense of humor.

Surprisingly enough, every dentist and dental hygienist (and person training to be one) in the world is aware of this plan, and they are in fact promised to rule over one of the orbiting teethmobiles. Since no one will have any teeth, theirs will be the only profession that is no longer necessary. So, this plan not only leads to them ruling over humanity, but it leads to a free retirement! Because let's face it, no one wants to be a dentist if there isn't a world takeover plan that comes with it.

In fact, the tooth fairy is the one who created the career of a 'dentist'. Why? In order to keep all the teeth in the world as clean as can be so they are ready to be built with right away.

The tooth fairy has already employed several thousand dentists who take care of the teeth she is storing.

Where, you ask? Well, there is a gargantuan warehouse in the sky that is shaped like a tooth. However, it has a giant invisibility cloak covering it. (Yeah, those are real too.)

Why have you never been told this? Well, everyone who knows of this is sent a notice that if they tell others, their teeth will be sucked out by the death star tooth thingy. I've already mentally prepared myself to lose all my teeth.

So kids, every time you put a tooth under the pillow, you are unknowingly contributing to the destruction of the earth as we know it... but contributing to the rise of the tooth empire.

Hope this helped!

Because of pressure for lowerselling prices, Cotton Cravat Co. has had disappointing financial performance in recent years. Indeed, Helen is aware of rumblings from corporate headquarters threatening to close the plant. One of Helen's responsibilities is to present the plant's financial plans for the coming year to the corporate officers and board of directors. In preparing for the presentation, Helen was intrigued to note that the focal point of the budget presentation was a profit-volume graph projecting an increase in profits and a reduction in the break-even point. Curious as to how the improvement would be accomplished, Helen ultimately spoke with Kiruvel Mesfin, the plant manager. Kiruvel indicated that a planned increase in productivity would reduce variable costs and increase the contribution margin ratio. When asked how the productivity increase would be accomplished, Kiruvel made a vague reference to increasing the speed of the assembly line. Helen commented that speeding up the assembly line could lead to labor problems because the speed of the line was set by union contract. Kiruvel responded that he was afraid that if the speedup were opened to negotiation, the union would make a big "stink" that could result in the plant being closed. He indicated that the speedup was the "only way to save the plant, our jobs, and the jobs of all plant employees." Besides, he did not believe employees would notice a 2 or 3 percent increase in speed. Kiruvel concluded the meeting observing, "You need to emphasize the results we will accomplish next year, not the details of how we will accomplish those results. Top management does not want to be bored with details. If we accomplish what we propose in the budget, we will be in for a big bonus." NourseChapter 1. Trouble Times TwoThe sun was glowing dull red as it slipped down behind the curving horizon of Mars, but Gregory Hunter was not able to see it.There was no viewscreen in the ship's cabin; it was too tiny for that. Greg twisted around in the cockpit that had been built just big enough to hold him, and shifted his long legs against the brace-webbing, trying to get them comfortable. He knew he was afraid ... but nobody else knew that, not even the captain waiting at the control board on the satellite, and in spite of the fear Greg Hunter would not have traded places at this moment with anyone else in the universe. He had worked too hard and waited too long for this moment. He heard the count-down monitor clicking in his ears, and his hands clenched into fists. How far from Mars would he be 10 minutes from now? He didn't know. Farther than any man had ever traveled before in the space of 10 minutes, he knew, and faster. How far and how fast would depend on him alone."All set, Greg?" It was the captain's voice in the earphones."All set, Captain.""You understand the program?"Greg nodded. "24 hours out, 24 hours back, 90 degrees to the ecliptic1, and all the acceleration2 I can stand both ways."Greg grinned to himself. He thought of the months of conditioning he had gone through to prepare for this run ... the hours in the centrifuge to build up his tolerance to acceleration, the careful diet, the rigorous hours of physical conditioning. It was only one experiment, one tiny step in the work that could someday give men the stars, but to Gregory Hunter at this moment it was everything."Good luck, then." The captain cut off, and the blastoff buzzer sounded. He was off. His heart hammered in his throat, and his eyes ached fiercely, but he paid no attention. His finger crept to the air-speed indicator, then to the cut-off switch. When the pressure became too great, when he began to black out, he would press it.But not yet. It was speed they wanted; they had to know how much acceleration a man could take for how long and still survive, and now it was up to him to show them.Fleetingly, he thought of Tom ... poor old stick-in-the-mud Tom, working away in his grubby little Mars-bound laboratory, watching bacteria grow. Tom could never have qualified for a job like this. Tom couldn't even go into free-fall for 10 minutes without getting sick all over the place. Greg felt a surge of pity for his brother, and then a twinge of malicious anticipation. Wait until Tom heard the reports on this run! It was all right to spend your time poking around with bottles and test tubes if you couldn't do anything else, but it took something special to pilot an XP ship for Project Star-Jump. And after this run was over, even Tom would have to admit it....There was a lurch, and quite suddenly the enormous pressure was gone.Something was wrong. He hadn't pushed the cut-off button, yet the ship's engines were suddenly silent. He jabbed at the power switch. Nothing happened. Then the side-jets sputted, and he was slammed sideways into the cot.He snapped on the radio speaker. "Control ... can you hear me? Something's gone wrong out here...."1The great circle that is the apparent path of the Sun.2The process of moving faster or happening more quickly.------------------------Now that you have read the passage, you will write an informational response paragraph to answer the following question:How does this story create a feeling of tension or conflict?Read the directions carefully so you know what to include in your essay.Begin your paragraph by rephrasing the question into a topic sentence.
