what is drug?why is drug abuse a social problem?

Answers

A drug is a solid or liquid that is either taken for pleasure, or for medical purposes. The problem is that drugs SHOULD NOT be used for pleasure, as problems can develop. Overdosing is a big problem around the world, when you take to much of that pleasure, and let it take over your body. You let it take over your body, and it takes advantage of you. Next thing you know it, your laying in your death bed. That’s what drug abuse is. What if you WANT it to take over your body? What if you WANT it to take advantage of you? What if you WANT to be laying on your death bed, because of it? What if you are doing this on purpose? Now that’s the problem here. YOU want it to take over your body, and most likely, it’s because of social medias. Do not tell me I am incorrect, because I know one time in your life, you’re probably going to think about suicidal thoughts. Having communication issues, get death threats, being insulted, being called a rough word that I am not mentioning, all make you have these thoughts in your head to try something. Cutting yourself, burning yourself, drinking, and including taking those ibuprofen pills on your kitchen counter. You try those pills, take 3, then before you know it...you take 8. Then 12. Then the whole bottle. You go to the pharmacy, get more, and repeat. You repeat until the point where you fall on the ground unconscious. “Don’t do this, it’s not worth it. People love you, and those haters, are only jealous.” As overused and cringe these phrases sound, it’s true.

This has been answered before. This is NOT my answer. I am just giving you the answer of user "Balaenoptera" verbatim.

"Answer:

Nesting & Foraging behavior

Explanation:

Seabirds are generally tertiary consumers and / or marine predators that, in marine foodwebs, occupy the upper trophic level. They are very well adapted to all marine ecosystems and feed on a variety of prey: from micro-crustaceans to fish and cephalopods.

Generally, seabirds are observed performing a nesting behavior, by laying eggs near the shore, and then are found exhibiting foraging behavior -searching and foraging for prey- in both the coastline and pelagic zone, also known as the open sea.

Seabirds exhibit different foraging behaviors, for example, the surface feeding behavior which involves flying along the surface with their beak  in the water. Gulls, albatrosses and petrels are examples of surface feeders.

On the other hand, plunge diving involves preying on fast marine organisms by diving into the water during their flight. Pelicans are example of seabirds who engage in this behavior."

Think of people among your family, your friends, or your classmates who are relatively unequal in terms of wealth. What is their relationship like? What factors come into play? Beagles, greyhounds, German shepherds, and even tiny toy poodles are all related to the same majestic wild animal, the wolf. In fact, all domestic dogs are descended from wolves. There are several species of wolf, including the gray wolf, the arctic wolf, the red wolf, the white wolf, and the Mexican wolf. Wolves are some of the most widespread mammals. Populations of wolves exist in almost as many places around the globe as humans do.Wolves are exceptional pack hunters. This is why they are able to take down large prey such as moose or deer by working together as a seamless team. Wolf pups as young as eight months old begin helping on the hunt. Wolves can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour when chasing prey, and their thick, double-coated fur enables them to keep warm in even the coldest arctic temperatures. Their large, powerful paws can reach up to 5 inches across and help to propel them quickly across the snow.Next time you're playing fetch with your furry friend, think about its ancestor, the wolf. Depending upon the species, you might end up with a grolar bear, a wolfdog, or a Savannah cat, among many others. What do these animals have in common? They're hybrids. Sometimes hybrids happen naturally in the wild, but usually, hybrids are the result of humans selectively breeding animals.Grolar bears and pizzlies are the result of crossing polar bears and grizzly bears. These hybrids were first seen in zoos, as the bears' natural habitats did not normally overlap. Recently, these hybrids have started appearing in the wild. Due to climate change, the bears' once-separate habitats are beginning to overlap. Bigger and more aggressive than their parents, grolar bears and pizzlies could pose a risk to natural habitats and humans.Wolfdogs are, as their name suggests, the result of crossing a wolf with a domestic dog. Bred for the pet trade, these hybrids do not often happen in the wild. Wolfdogs do not make good pets, however, as they can be destructive and aggressive. Many states have outlawed keeping wolfdogs because they can pose a danger to people.Savannah cats are another example of human-made hybrids that were developed to be pets. Savannahs are the result of crossing a small wildcat called a serval with a domestic housecat. They look like miniature versions of the wildcat, which is why many people like keeping them as pets. Like the wolfdog, however, Savannahs do not make ideal house pets. They can be destructive, and usually, they keep the wild nature of the serval. There are many more examples of human-made hybrid animals. Some hybrids, such as the mule, have been helpful to humans. Unfortunately, others, like the wolfdog or Savannah cat, should not have been made in the first place. How is the overall structure of "The Wolves Among Us" similar to the structure of "The Necessity of Hybrids"?A. You bombard the sample with neutrons to ensure that on the order of 1% of these copper nuclei absorb a neutron. After activation, you turn off the neutron flux and then use a highly efficient detector to monitor the gamma radiation that comes out of the sample. Assume half of the 66Cu nuclei emit a 1.04-MeV gamma ray in their decay. (The other half of the activated nuclei decay directly to the ground state of 66Ni.)
