What is the distance between two points of a line?

The distance between two points of a line is given as:

Distance =  [tex]\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2 }[/tex]

We have,

Maria's desk.

We will write the coordinates in the form of (x, y).

experimental probability = 0.6

What is experimental probability ?

Actual experiments and sufficient documentation of the occurrence of occurrences serve as the foundation for experimental probability, sometimes referred to as empirical probability. A number of real experiments are carried out in order to ascertain the likelihood of any event. Random experiments are studies that don't have a predetermined outcome. The results of such experiments are unpredictable. The likelihood of random experiments is calculated repeatedly. A trial is a repeating of an experiment that is performed a certain number of times. The experimental probability's mathematical formula is denoted by;

Probability of an Event P(E) = Number of Trials / Total Number of Occurrences of an Event

15 times were used in the experiment by Kendra.

According to the table, out of the 15 instances, we receive a blonde class leader 9 times.

The answer  r = 7, and the missing terms are -2, -14, -98, -686, -4802. in the Geometric progression.

What is Geometric progression?

A geometric progression, sometimes termed a geometric sequence in mathematics, is a series of non-zero numbers where each term following the first is obtained by multiplying the preceding one by a constant, non-zero value known as the common ratio. A geometric progression with the common ratio 3 is, for instance, the sequence 2, 6, 18, 54,... A geometric series having a common ratio of 1/2 is also 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, etc.

By calculating the product of the values of a set of numbers, the Geometric Mean (GM) is the average value or mean that denotes the central tendency of the data. The average of the data set's numbers is defined by the mean. There are several distinct forms of means, including arithmetic mean (AM), geometric mean (GM), and harmonic mean (HM).

What is slope of a line?

The increase divided by the run, or the ratio of the rise to the run, is known as the line's slope. In the coordinate plane, it describes the slope of the line. Finding the slope between two separate points and calculating the slope of a line are related tasks. In general, we require the values of any two separate coordinates on a line in order to determine its slope.

Slope of a line can be calculated using the formula:

[tex]m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}[/tex]

Here, m = slope and (x1, y1), (x2, y2) are two points on the line,

Calculating the slope of line 1 whose points are (-3, 8), (0, 4)

[tex]m = \frac{4 - 8}{0 - (-3)}[/tex]

m = -4/3

Calculating the slope of line 2 whose points are (4, 4), (-4, -2)

[tex]m = \frac{-2 - 4}{ -4 - 4}[/tex]

m = 3/4

Calculating the slope of line 2 whose points are (4, 1), (8, 4)

[tex]m = \frac{4 - 1}{ 8 - 4}[/tex]

m = 3/4

Now we know that if lines are parallel that their slope is equal and when lines are perpendicular the product of their slope is -1,

Therefore, Line 1 and Line 2 are perpendicular, Line 1 and Line 3 are also perpendicular, Line 2 and Line 3 are parallel.

Sketch a graph that shows the relationship between grams of honey and cups of flour needed for a bakery recipe. To know how much honey is needed for 17 cups of flour

Given data:

Let flour x grams plotted on x-axis

honey y grams plotted on y-axis

We have 2 points to find the slope of linear equation

[tex]m = \frac{y_{2}- y_{1} }{x_{2}- x_{1} } = \frac{35-14}{25-10} = \frac{21}{15} = \frac{7}{5} = 1.4[/tex]

[tex](x_{1}, y_{1}) = (10,14)\\ \\(x_{2}, y_{2}) = (25,35)[/tex]

Linear equation is

y = mx+c

[tex]y = \frac{7}{5}x+c = 1.4x+c[/tex]

Adding points (10,14) in above equation

[tex]y = \frac{7}{5}x+c \\\\14 = \frac{7}{5}*10+c\\ \\[/tex]

c = 0

So, the relation between x grams of flour requires y grams of honey is

[tex]y = \frac{7}{5}x[/tex]

or

y = 1.4x

When x = 17

[tex]y = \frac{7}{5}*17 = 23.8[/tex]

Hence the answer is, y = 23.8 g of honey is needed for 17 cups of flour.

Caring for your introvert Past Simple or Past Continuous.https://es.liveworksheets.com/ug871144ay Read the passage.The Incredible MachineEveryone has a favorite attraction at an amusement park, and I am no different.However, unlike most people who seem to prefer rollercoasters, my favorite ride isa little gentler. Every time I go to Coney Island, Navy Pier, or the Santa MonicaPier, I absolutely have to ride the Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel is simple and yetalso quite complex. That is, riding it is easy, but how it works is complicated. Aseries of carts are attached to a wheel, which is attached to a rim. That rim rotatesvertically around an axis, and gravity keeps the carts upright. As simple as the rideseems, only advanced engineers can make safe and fun Ferris wheels. What ItLacks in Thrills While the Ferris wheel is not as thrilling as a rollercoaster, it isstill very exciting. The fact of being high in the air makes it so much moreentertaining than a lot of rides. I mean, how often do you hang from that high up indaily life? Nevertheless, I have to admit, I dont seek Ferris wheels out because oftheir excitement. Rather, I find them very relaxing. At the top of the Ferris wheel,you get beautiful sights of the park. You also get a sense of calm that you dont getin the hustle and bustle of the park below. Additionally, Ferris wheels are alsogorgeous to look at when they are lit up at night. In fact, the original Ferris wheelwas designed as much to be seen as to be ridden. It happened at the Worlds FairThe first Ferris wheel was made by and named after George Washington GaleFerris, Jr. He designed it for the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893. It was the tallestattraction there, standing 264 feet high. However, visitors to the fair wereimpressed by the size of the ride as well as the mechanics of it. In 1893, anythingthat was not turned by hand was considered a sight to see. And the wheel, whichwas a machine, was truly incredible to see. Further, as one visitor put it, the wheelwas amazing because it seemed to be missing support. That is, it did not look like itcould stand on its own. And yet it did and even rotated! They Keep ReachingHigher and Higher Ferris wheel technology has only improved since then. Most oftodays Ferris wheels are much larger than that first one. The largest in the world isthe "Singapore Flyer," which stands slightly taller than twice what Ferriss did!Today, the Ferris wheel is the most common amusement park ride.
